“I have no idea what the music will sound like or what direction we’ll take, but it will be really cool. We’re obviously two separate sides of the musical extreme but that’s what makes it exciting.”

This is not the first time Microsoft have used Pharrell, he was used to launch the game Halo 3 in the UK.

Mtv.co.uk have said that Jay-Z is teaming up with Stargate, Norwegian record producers, to make a new record label called StarRoc.
Stargate have proven successful in the U.S. and in the U.K. They produced and co-wrote Ne-Yo’s smash hit “So Sick” which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Rihanna’s song, “Unfaithful” reached #6 on the Hot 100 and was co-written and produced by Stargate. Plus, lest we forget Beyoncé’s single “Irreplaceable“, because they also produced and co-wrote the song, which topped the Hot 100 for ten weeks.
I think Jay-Z getting together with Stargate is a great idea. I cannot wait to see what they’ll do. He’s set to release his eleventh album “Blueprint 3” sometime later this year, making this his last project with Def Jam. He’ll be transitioning over to Live Nation.
