DMX has finally appeared in court in Phoenix after he was forced to miss the original date last week after being rushed to hospital.

The rapper, who was in the courtroom for less than two minutes, was ordered to return on October 7 for a ’status conference’.

He is charged with four counts of drug paraphernalia and one count of marijuana possession as well as animal cruelty and theft charges.

MTV has announced that Beyonce Knowles will be one of the artists to perform at this year’s MTV European Music Awards. She will likely sing one of her rumored-to-be-pushed-back songs, “If I Were a Boy” or “Single Ladies”, at the event which will be broadcast live from Liverpool Echo Arena on Thursday, November 6.

DMX was rushed to the hospital yesterday for “fear of a stoke,” according to TMZ.

DMX, real name Earl Simmons was rushed into hospital on Monday in Florida - with early reports suggesting that he had suffered from a stroke.

The embattled rapper was taken to an emergency center in Aventura, Florida. X is slated to appear in an Arizona court today, however, it appears he won’t be able to make his scheduled hearing.

The rapper recently plead guilty in Miami to drug possession and sentenced to time served and fined

Earlier this month, DMX was extradited from Florida by authorities and jailed in Arizona on an outstanding warrant.

Singer Ashlee Simpson is not pregant - so says current beau Pete Wentz who emailed MTV News to fill them in on the real news.

“There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood. This is all news to me.
