Getting back on track following her public breakdown, Britney Spears has been keeping herself busy doing massive comeback effort, making donation to John Philip Sousa Middle School 142 in New York’s Bronx on Wednesday, October 1. Dropping by the school as part of her trip to the Big Apple, she presented a $10,000 check to be used as an endowment for the school’s year-old music program.

Britney Spears has been nominated for two MTV Europe Music Awards.

The popstar has been added to the list of nominees to The 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards that is set to happen in Liverpool, UK November 6th.

Britney got nominated for “Best Act of 2008″ - that is like a Artist of The Year and “Album of The Year” for Blackout.

Britney Spears‘ new song called “Womanizer” has been leaked. Raising a ton of doubt about its authenticity, the 37-second snippet shows off a bouncy dance track that features sexy lyrics, with the singer singing, “Boy don’t try to front/I know just what gets you off”.

Speaking of her upcoming sixth major studio set, Britney describes it as her best work ever. Producers and writers who contribute their work in the album include Max Martin, who helped her making some hit singles, including “…Baby One More Time” and Bloodshy & Avant, who produced the big VMAs winner, “Piece of Me”.

The Madonna and Britney Spears bandwagon rolls on!

Spears not only appears in a video montage shown during Madonna’s latest concert tour, but she’s also a source of inspiration in Filth and Wisdom, Madge’s feature-film directorial debut about a ragtag group of friends struggling through life in England.

I won’t give too much away (the movie comes out Oct. 17), but I will tell you that a pivotal scene involves a stripper dancing to Spears’ “Baby One More Time.” And yes, said stripper is even wearing—what else?—a skimpy school uniform and pigtails just like Britney wore in the song’s now classic music video.
